Initial Charging Instructions for Extended Battery:
Your new battery will likely arrive uncharged. It is not uncommon for a battery to have a slight charge remaining from the manufacturer and/or testing process. Regardless of the initial charge, your battery will always need to be conditioned.
1. Remove any plastic packaging. Some batteries are shrink-wrapped with a clear cellophane (plastic) wrapper – remove completely before charging. Leave Hyperion label on.
2. Install the battery in your phone. It is not uncommon for your phone’s battery meter to give a false reading of the battery’s charge (wrong number of bars) until 4 or 5 complete charging cycles.
3. Charge your battery overnight (8-12 hours) for the first 4-5 cycles. It is critical to get a full charge in those first few cycles. Do not deplete to 0%. Also remember that some smart phones need to “adapt” to the new battery.
4. Keep the battery dry and away from moist and corrosive materials. Never cross the terminals on the battery.
5. Recharge the battery once every 3 months when not in use.
6. Never use the battery if it becomes swollen. Contact our customer service department for a replacement.
